Paphiopedilum

Temperature: Warm Temperatures in General, the “Bulldog” types require temperatures from 50 degrees to 65 degrees

Light: Shaded mostly and do very well indoors

The Paphiopedilum are usually known as the “Lady Slipper” orchid, but some just call them “Paphs.”  They are often overlooked because they do not look as much like a flower that you would see in a cut flower arrangement. These orchids, however, are one of the easiest orchids to grow in the home because they do not require as much light as some of the other varieties. Unlike cut flower arrangements, orchids’ blooms last a very long time. Paphiopedilum flowers are among the longest lasting of all orchid blooms. These long-lasting flowers can add interest and architectural line to any home decor.

Paphiodeilums should be repotted using a denser potting media like Better-Gro Orchid Moss or they also do well in Better-Gro Phalaenopsis Mix
